Is your product inevitable?
When people see your product, does it seem so obvious that they wonder, “why didn’t I think of that?”
That is inevitability. The problem so clear. The solution so breathtakingly simple. Your product was destined for the universe. People are scratching their heads wondering why no one thought of it before.
Notice that I did not say obvious. Inevitability is better than obvious. As a product designer, you are the sculptor bringing to life the work of art buried within the slab of stone. Only you can seen what is hidden, but once you reveal it to the world, they gasp in delight.
This is never an easy road or the obvious path. No. You have to fight to bring your product to the market.
Most people will dismiss you. Most believe it will never work…until they see it, hold it, touch it, feel it, experience it.
Your absolutely right, this field of work is not an easy road to go down. Besides being a little on the aggressive side, you have to know how to pitch an idea to a new client and persuade them that your product is the next trend.
